P.E. & Sports Premium

At Noremarsh, PE and sports provision have always been an integral and valued part of our school curriculum.

We allocate our funding to provide as many opportunities as possible for our children to participate in a wide range of sports and activities, including competitive sports, and to the continuous professional development of teachers and staff.

We also aim to increase children's activity levels through providing exciting and engaging outdoor play equipment, including a climbing/assault course, table tennis, basketball hoops as well as smaller equipment. We are also proud to be a 'Scrapstore PlayPod' school which children can access at lunchtimes to encourage imaginative and co-operative play through the use of 'loose parts'.

We use various measures to assess the impact of PE and Sports Premium spend. These include teacher assessment of children in PE, quantitative and qualitative information gathered regarding sports participation and through the monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning of PE.

Through coaching and mentoring our aim is to ensure quality PE skills are passed on to new members of staff to ensure sustainable improvement.
