ABOUT NOREMARSH JUNIOR SCHOOL
Building and maintaining strong links with the community is important to us, for example through activities like our annual Christingle service at the church. Our school is set within generous grounds including a very large playing field, running track, forest and orchard area and playgrounds.
We are redesigning our curriculum to reflect our community and location, which is rich in geographical and historical interest. Our team of passionate and enthusiastic subject leaders are working together to ensure our curriculum provides our children with enriching and exciting experiences. We want to ensure that all children can achieve success along their educational journey. We believe in the importance of trips, visitors and outdoor learning in our curriculum to enhance and extend the children’s learning. Extending our children’s experiences through music is also very important to us. At Noremarsh we pride ourselves in offering many opportunities to create a love of music in our children whatever their level of musical knowledge or skill is.
Our ambition at Noremarsh Junior school is the same as the ambition we have for all schools in the Ascend Learning Trust Family: to provide an outstanding education for all children and young people. At Noremarsh, children will discover resilience and independence in their learning and the importance of acting with kindness. These three areas together will set children up for success and wellbeing not only at Noremarsh, but as the foundation for whatever they choose to do in their lives in the future.
Our Mission And Values
Our school values are very important to us and are really promoted across the whole of our community. We strongly believe that for our children to reach their full potential there needs to be a partnership between parents, children and our warm and engaging team of staff.
At Noremarsh we make no excuses for knowing our ABC’s:
- Ambition
– our team are all ambitious for all of our children. We want them to achieve their full potential during their time with us. We are redesigning our curriculum to be ambitious and to challenge and engage our learners.
- Belonging – we know that all children are different and have differing needs throughout their time with us. We are skilled at supporting them and adapting our practice to help them all to achieve success. As a team we believe there are no outsiders in our community and we do all we can to make all members of our community feel that.
- Compassion – our children talk about kindness alongside compassion. We see this on a daily basis in and outside of the classrooms. Our community cares about each other and we show it. We know there will be times when children forget or struggle and we will support all children so that they will learn and grow in kindness.
Our vision for our school is:
A community where everyone belongs, where our children feel safe to be confident and ambitious, and where we work together with kindness and respect.
We hope that you agree that both the vision and values reflect our school community. Over the coming year, and beyond, we will explore and promote these values with the children and our staff so that they become embedded in all we do.
